Privacy policy

The short version
- thisfeeling lets a group build a moment for someone's day. Only the people in a moment can see it. Nothing is ever posted publicly.
- We don't show ads, and we don't sell, share or mine your data.
- Free moments are deleted for good 30 days after the day. A moment kept forever stays until the organizer deletes it.
- You can always download and delete your own messages.
- Everything is stored and processed in the EU.
- You need to be 16 or older to create an account.

What we collect and why

We don't use analytics tools. We never use your videos, voice, photos or words to train AI models, and we don't let anyone else do that.
How long a moment lives
- Free moment: online until 30 days after the day. Everyone in it with an account gets a reminder a week and a day before. Then the moment, its messages and extras are deleted for good.
- Forever moment: stays online until the organizer deletes it. Anyone can delete their own message at any time.
- Deleted means deleted: files and data are removed from the live service straight away. Our backup copies are kept for at most 7 days and are then gone as well.
- If we ever close: we'll give everyone at least 30 days to download their moments.
Who can see what
- Before the day: the organizer and co-organizers can see the messages. Guests can see who has added a message (names only), if the organizer allows it. The person celebrated sees nothing.
- On and after the day: everyone in the moment can see the whole moment.
- Nobody else. There is no public page, search or feed.
Keeping moments kind
Moments are private, so we don't scan them. The organizer can hide or delete any message in their moment. If something is wrong, tell the organizer, or write to [email protected].
Who helps us run it
Only service providers who help us run thisfeeling, under data processing agreements, and only in the EU:

We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
Cookies
Only cookies that are strictly needed: to keep you signed in, and to let you change a message you added from this phone. No tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
Your rights
You can see, download, correct or delete your data at any time, in the app or by writing to [email protected]. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, or ask us to restrict it. We answer within 30 days.
You can complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk), or to the authority where you live.
Children
You must be 16 or older to create an account. Younger people can open a moment made for them and can add a message from a link without an account. If you think someone under 16 has an account, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect.
